Why Are You Switching Your Career. Perhaps your resume reveals that you made a career change in the past. People are increasingly working in new ways, be it flexibly, remotely or part-time.
If you state that you selected this employer as a good "next place" to work or "next step" in your career, be sure you can articulate why: [This employer] is known as a great place to work. [This employer] is a [or "the"] leader in this industry, so working here would mean that I would be at the top of my field.
But you don't want to apply to any ol' job in your new chosen field, or you could end up back where you started—unhappy and looking for yet another change.
Leave out the negative part: If you want to change your job because you don't share a good relationship with your current boss and/or colleagues, it is better to leave out the details about how rude your boss is and how non-cooperative your colleagues are. You can make headway with hiring decisions when you give the interviewer convincing reasons why your lack of experience doesn't matter. What seemed like an exciting career that required lots of travel and long hours, is no longer viable.
